1) How does the 3D Shred 808 Plus Laser work?
The 3D Shred 808 Plus Laser is a combination of a diode, neodymium YAG and alexandrite laser. It emits laser light of three wave lengths: 755 nm, 808 nm, 1064 nm, which is absorbed by practically all hair colours. The epilation with the 3D SHRED 808 PLUS laser is effective whatever the colour of your hair and skin. It gives permanent effects, is safe and painless. What’s more, it can be applied all year round. The 3D Shred 808 Plus laser successfully removes bright and red hair, which is a challenge to other devices.

2) Essence of the treatment
The treatment is fast and comfortable. It is practically painless. It can be applied on the whole body or a selected area (e.g. armpits, bikini line, moustache). Depending on the area, the treatment lasts from several minutes to several dozen minutes. The effects are visible after around 10 to 14 days when the first hair starts falling out.
Depending on the colour and thickness of hair, it is recommended to repeat the treatment several times and usually a series of 3 to 4 treatment is repeated every 4 to 8 weeks. For darker and thicker hair, a smaller number of treatments is necessary (3 to 4) than in the case of bright and thin hair (at least 4 treatments). The number of treatments necessary to remove all unnecessary hair from particular body parts is different.

The destruction of hair roots is a key element of the permanent removal of unwanted hair. During the epilation with the 3D Shred 808 Plus laser, melanin contained in the hair stem absorbs laser light. Heat generated as a result of a laser impulse is diffused into surrounding tissues (so called selective photothermolysis) and permanently damages the existing hair follicle and stem cells that take part in the growth of new hair.
As the light emitted by the laser is absorbed by melanin, the epilation only results in the destruction of that hair which contains a relevant quantity of melanin and is at an active growth phase. Therefore, a single treatment eliminates solely a certain percentage (from 15% to 60%) of hair in the skin. That is why, to achieve the final effect, several treatments are necessary.

4) How to prepare to the treatment?
• Stop any oral therapy with retinoids six months before the treatment.
• Four weeks before the treatment, stop using any ointments containing retinoids and fruit acids, give up all types of depilation which consists in hair tearing (tweezers, epilator, wax) and do not use self-tanning creams.
• Two weeks before the treatment, stop using creams containing retinol (e.g. acne creams), give up solarium or sun-bathing, do not consume photosensitive herbs (hypercium, calendula, mixes like Figura 1 or 2), cure all active skin infections.
• One week before the treatment, stop using any exfoliating preparations and end antibiotic therapy.
• On the day preceding the treatment, shave the area that is to be epilated by use of a disposable shaver and leave a small hairy fragment where the type of your hair can be assessed. Do not use any lotions, creams or ointments on the places that are to be treated.

• It is not recommended to apply any cosmetics for 24 hours after the treatment.
• It is recommended to apply a Bepanten-type cream 2-3 times a day.
